Four times a year, off-campus events bring endless amounts of joy and fun to Raleigh Charter High School students. By attending these events, students get a detailed insight into engaging topics that they may not usually get to experience in their everyday lives.
Flex days are an important part of Raleigh Charter High School’s program because theyteach students to be responsible citizens and create a collaborative learning environment for everyone.
These activities count as school days and give students a break from regular ones that are more academically focused.
When asked about Flex Days, freshman Roselani Grabowski says, “I loved my first Flex Day! I liked that it was off campus and was a break from the academic aspect of RCHS.”
Like she says, after a lot of academic stress that many students might find themselves to be in, two days per semester of off campus activities provides them relief.
Similar to school field trips, Flex Days provide the opportunity for students to learn things differently.
Freshman Yusor Altaweel shares her opinion about her first Flex Day: “It was a good experience. I enjoyed it because of the diverse activities and emphasis on teamwork with other students.”
Flex Days remain to be a highly anticipated event all year long, and students look forward to the unique opportunities to explore new things, collaborate with peers, and enjoy a break from traditional classes.
The countdown is officially on as students wait until March of 2027, when our next Flex Days will take place!
