Every year brings a new homecoming trend, whether it’s pastel suits, glittery dresses, or natural makeup. But with homecoming in just a month, new trends are beginning to form. I spoke with students about which looks are most popular for homecoming this year.
I asked Sophomore Ahsen Odabasi about what makeup and dresses are trending this year. “Sparkly dresses are really in this year,” said Odabasi. “I’ve also seen a lot of pastels. And for makeup, I think bold and elaborate looks are gonna be in”.
I also asked Sophomore Eleanor Woodbury about what looks she thinks are going to be the most popular this year. “I think more short, sparkly, and tighter dresses are going to be popular this year,” said Woodbury. When asked about what makeup looks are gonna be trending this year, she said, “I think natural-looking makeup is gonna be trending this year.”
And for those who want more masculine or gender-neutral options, I talked to freshman Liam Allan about what suits he thinks are gonna be the most popular this year, and he said, “I think a traditional black formal suit is gonna be popular this year.”
Freshman Ysuf Oktay was asked about what suits he thinks are going to be popular this year. “I think it’s either gonna be black suits or pastel suits that are gonna be really in this year,” said Oktay.
Homecoming is October 24, so buy your tickets and walk that runway!
