Raleigh Charter gets ready for the 2028 Olympics!

Everyone at Raleigh Charter has probably heard about the upcoming Summer Olympics in Los Angeles 2028, especially as people start getting excited for the big event.

In 2028, the Summer Olympics will be taking place in Los Angeles, California. The city is preparing by investing in new and old infrastructure. There will be new housing, improved airports, and, of course, new arenas! The city hopes that these structures will be able to last for many years after the games.

Students shared what they are most excited about for the upcoming Olympics.

Freshman Samyutha Komali talked about her plans, “I’m trying to get tickets for beach volleyball, and I’m really excited to see how Sweden does.”

Junior Kay Aisenberg shares her thoughts, “I don’t think I would want to travel to LA to see the Olympics in person, but I’m really excited to watch it from home. I’m most excited for swimming.”

Overall, the Olympics are an exciting time for both athletes and fans. Whether people are watching in person or at home, the games bring everyone together to enjoy sports and competition.
