Inside Coachella 2026; Where Music, Fashion, and Social Media Collide

Every Spring, thousands of people come together in the valleys of California desert to celebrate Coachella Music and Arts Festival where music, fashion, food, and fun clash together. Known for its star-studded line up, which featured major artists like Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Karol G that brought a wave of nostalgia to many fans compared to any other festival. 

With the weekend 1 and 2 ending, people say it has been the most nostalgic event ever. From Y2k and Boho themed Outfits and exciting performances to unique food and a good-vibe filled environment, has made this year’s event an unforgettable weekend!

Besides all the performers that perform at Coachella, fashion is a close second place in terms of importance at this event and tends to dominate the discussion! Themes that occurred throughout this year’s fashion event have been Y2k, Boho, streetwear, and desert glam. 

Not only do people dress the theme, they find a way to incorporate their personal identity into the outfits which make them all the more awe-inspiring. Festivalgoers use their outfits to express individuality, with mixing bold colors, unique accessories and certain pieces that really make the whole fit to stand out. This has a positive impact because it encourages confidence and inspires trends that spread beyond the festival through social media and everyday fashion.

At Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026, fans compared the vibe to 2016 Coachella Festival. Many social media influencers, especially Tiktokers had expressed this idea many times because of the performances, outfits, and environment in general! “Coachella 2016 is so back” said by Tiktoker Issey Moloney. Others on Instagram said the mix of headliners and smaller sets made the festival feel super energetic and nostalgic.  Overall, fans were basically saying the festival felt loud, nostalgic, and full of nonstop moments worth posting about.

To put Coachella in a nutshell, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026 stood out for its mix of big headliners, smaller sets, fashion, and unique environment, which all played a role in creating a nostalgic “2016 Coachella” energy that fans loved. “I should’ve danced harder in 2020!” said by Sophomore Kenza Benammar, referencing a popular joke that many influencers who gained popularity through dancing back in 2020 scored invites to Coachella this year.
