Pineapple on pizza, mayo on burgers, and the right way to pour cereal are all food debates people have different opinions about. A Google Forms survey asked RCHS students about many popular food combinations to see which ones they prefer. The results showed that some combinations were widely accepted, while others had more split opinions.
One of the clearest results was that 90.9% of respondents believe mayo belongs on burgers. Only 9.1% of students disagreed. This shows that most students who answered the survey support adding mayo to their burgers, making it one of the least controversial combinations in the survey.
Warm pizza was just as popular, with 90.9% of respondents choosing it over room-temperature pizza. Only 9.1% preferred room temperature pizza. Although some people enjoy leftover pizza, most students would rather heat it up.
On the other hand, pineapple on pizza had a different result. A total of 45.5% of respondents said pineapple does not belong on pizza, while 54.5% did not agree with that. This made it the closest debate in the survey. Some people enjoy the sweet and savory taste of pineapple, while others believe that fruits should not be on pizza.
Another question asked whether people should put milk first or cereal first into the bowl first. A total of 81.8% of respondents said they put cereal in first and then add the milk. The other 18.2% preferred pouring milk first. While this might seem like a small detail, it shows how people can prepare the same food in different ways.
The results suggest that RCHS respondents have some clear preferences when it comes to food combinations. Mayo on burgers and warm pizza were the most popular choices, while the cereal debate also had a clear winner. However, pineapple on pizza was more evenly divided, showing that not every food debate has a clear winner.
Although the survey showed which options were more popular among students who responded, people will not always agree on what tastes best. Food preferences depend on the person eating the food, and what somebody considers a good combination might not be for someone else.
