Student Spring Break Trips

RCHS Spring Break Adventures

The break from school from Friday, March 27 to Monday, April 6 was overall a much needed break from the schoolwork load and the stress and pressures that come along with it.

Many students took this opportunity to travel away from home to get a breath of much needed fresh air. Some students and teachers ended up overlapping in their trips, for example freshman Alice Arcaro and her family took a trip out west to the Grand Canyon, and went at the same time as Honors Biology and Anatomy and Physiology teacher Scott Caudill, and Spanish teacher Mark Slattery.

Another vacation destination was the high seas. Sophomore Chirstianah Balogun went on a cruise with her family and said that it was a ”well needed vacation and break from school.”

Others aimed for productivity over adventure.

Sophomore Sahana Ravichandran said she took “ the spring break opportunity to work extra hours during the week, and then have a relaxing time at home. “ Ravichandran also addressed how her spring break was not completely free of academics, as there were some tests such as in AP Biology that she needed to study for.

Freshman Quinn Patrick had taken the week leading up to spring break off as well due to commitments to her sport of hockey. Quinn had a very mixed load, with makeup tests and assignments on her mind, her hockey tournament, and also some free time here and there.

We can tell, for sure, that there was much fun during many RCHS student spring break experiences, and that regardless of your circumstances, there is always one thing you can appreciate.

Freshman Rhea Victorien said that she was glad for the break but was excited to be back at school because she could see all of her classmates and friends who she had missed over break.

What about you? What have you appreciated about your spring break, and what fun experiences did you have? Let us know in the comments below!
